***Opulent Oddities***

Jordan es Opulent Oddities, una mujer estadounidense de solo 22 años con un gran amor por las antigüedades.
Jordan es amante de las rarezas. Algunas de sus joyas tienen un aire antiguo y vintage, y otras se recrean en elementos inusuales, como cabezas y manos de muñecas, llaves y otros materiales poco comunes.

¿Cuánto hace que empezaste con esta afición?
Comencé mi afición con el dinero que recibí para graduarme en la escuela secundaria y lo convertí en un negocio, no, ¡en mi vida!

Cuéntanos como empezaste.
Quería hacer mis propios accesorios después de ver que lo que había en las tiendas era absolutamente horrible y simplemente no para mi. Así que empecé de pequeña, con cuentas y colgantes reciclados del joyero de mi mamá y ahora estoy creando lo que creo que son piezas verdaderamente sorprendentes a partir de maravillosas antigüedades.

El fotógrafo Caryn Drexl, el pintor Egon Scheile, los artistas folklóricos de la familia Beerhorst.

¿Cuántas horas dedicas a la semana a esta afición?
De media mas de 80 horas a la semana. Mas en invierno, menos en verano.

¿Te dedicas profesionalmente a esto?
Con mucho gusto y por suerte estoy en condiciones de pagar mis necesidades con esto. ¡Gracias a mis increíbles clientes y seguidores!

¿Qué otras aficiones tienes?
Hacer arte alterado, antigüedades, venta de antigüedades /vintage, la fotografía.

Where do you live now?

When did you start with this hobby?
I started my hobby with the money I received for graduating high school and turned it into a business, no, my life!

How did you start?
I had wanted to make my own accessories after seeing what was in stores was so absolutely awful and just not me. So I started small, with beads and recycled pendants from my mom's jewelry box and now I am creating what I think are truly amazing pieces of art to wear made from gorgeous antiques.

Who are three artists who inspire you the most?
Photographer Caryn Drexl, painter Egon Scheile, The folksy artists of the Beerhorst family.

How many hours a week do you dedicate to this hobby?
80+ hours a week on average. More in the winter, less in the summer.

Is this more than your hobby? Is it your job?
I happily and thankfully am able to pay for my necessities with this. Thank you to my amazing customers and supporters!

What other hobbies do you have?
Making altered art, antiquing, selling antiques/vintage, photography.
