***Cynthia Del Giudice***

ENTREVISTA ORIGINAL
Would you like to tell us your name?
My name is Cynthia Del Giudice.

How old are you?
I am 43 years old.

What country are you born?
I was born in Argentina to an American father and an Argentine mother and have lived in both countries.

Where do you live now?
At the moment, I am living with my family in a 40 acre rural home in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. We moved from Los Angeles 3 years ago, and our lives have changed dramatically.

When did you start with this hobby?
I have always been involved in fine arts, but started making jewelry in 2004.

How did you start?
As a child I loved collecting rocks, stones and pebbles, and as an adult I loved welding old, rusted metal in my sculpture class. Much later I discovered metal smithing through a class I took in Santa Monica, California.

Who are three artists who inspire you the most?
It's hard to name three artists, but I love the Abstract Expressionism movement, and I love Deborah Butterfield's horse sculptures (I'm a horse person).

How many hours a week do you dedicate to this hobby? Is this more than your hobby? Is it your job?
Jewelry has become more than a hobby for the last 3 years. It has become my business. I put a lot of hours into it.

What other hobbies do you have?
I love gardening. I have an organic vegetable garden, and flower beds. I like horseback riding, and cooking. I like to have friends and family over and eat a good organic meal. I love collecting stuff I find just about anywhere: stones, seashells, seeds, feathers, eggshells, driftwood. I like insects and living creatures. I like everything and anything old. I like to dance tango, and love music.

Would you like to tell us a little bit more about you?
I have a wonderful husband, 2 musician sons and an artist daughter.
