***Rusty Roxx***

Detrás de Rusty Roxx está Denise Yezbak Moore, una mujer americana que comparte sus trabajos frecuentemente en la revista "Stringing".

El eje central del trabajo de Denise es el gusto por las fornituras, que combinadas con cuentas y perlas anilladas, dan lugar a composiciones de gran riqueza visual por la mezcla de materiales y texturas.

Hace 5 años.

Cuéntanos como empezaste.
Tomé una clase de enrollado de alambre en una tienda de cuentas local con la esperanza de poder arreglar algunas joyas "vintage" que había acumulado con los años. Me fascinan las joyas antiguas, desde 1910 hasta 1940, sobre todo las piezas de bronce y de cristal checo. Mis periodos favoritos son la época victoriana, la época eduardiana y el movimiento de artes y oficios.

Me siento inspirada por las joyas antiguas y los materiales con los que trabajo. Hay muchos artistas que admiro:

¿Te dedicas profesionalmente a esto?
No, no es un trabajo a tiempo completo. Tengo la suerte de poder quedarme en casa con mis hijos y seguir una carrera en diseño de joyas.

¿Qué otras aficiones tienes?
Siempre he sido una persona muy artística. Pinto, hago costura "heirloom", hago trabajos de acolchado y he hecho muñecas de porcelana. Me gusta incursionar en la pasta de plata.

¿Quieres contarnos algo mas de tu vida?
Denise es una diseñadora de joyas que colabora frecuentemente en la revista "Stringing". También ha aparecido publicada en "Beadstar" 2009, "Bead Unique" y "Beadstyle". Sus publicaciones futuras incluyen "Jewelry Affaire" en abril de 2010 publicado por Stampington & Company y "Beadtrends" en junio&julio 2010. Sus diseños son exclusivos y tienen un estilo vintage. Es la propietaria de Rusty Roxx Jewelry y vive en el Condado de Orange, California, con su marido Rusty y sus dos hijos Garrett y Britton. A Denise le gusa corresponder a otros diseñadores.

When did you start with this hobby?
5 years ago

How did you start?
I took a wire wrap class at a local bead shop with the hope that I could fix some of the vintage jewelry that I have collected over the years. I am fascinated by antique jewelry, especially brass and Czech glass pieces from 1910 to 1940. Victorian, Edwardian and the Arts and Crafts Movement are a few of my favorite periods.

Who are three artists who inspire you the most?
I am inspired by antique jewelry and the materials that I work with. There are many artists that I admire: Bobbie Takashima – painter, Holly Ginsberg Gage – metal clay artist, Barb Switzer – wire artist, Melanie Brooks – ceramic and porcelain bead artist, Heather Wynn – polymer clay artist, Lorelei Hill Eurto – jewelry designer, Kerri Fuhr – glass bead artist, Heather Powers – bead artist, The girls at Vintaj Natural Brass Company, Amy Hanna – jewelry designer, Andrew Thornton – jewelry designer, Erin Strother – jewelry designer and many more!

How many hours a week do you dedicate to this hobby?
10 hours

Is this more than your hobby? Is it your job?
No, it is not a full time job. I am lucky enough to be able to stay at home with my children and pursue a career in jewelry design.

What other hobbies do you have?
I have always been a very artistic person. I paint, heirloom sew, quilt and have made porcelain dolls. I like to dabble in Art Clay Silver.

Would you like to tell us a little bit more about you?
Denise is a jewelry designer who is a frequent contributor to "Stringing" Magazine. She has also been published in "Beadstar" 2009, "Bead Unique" and "Beadstyle". Her future publications include "Jewelry Affaire" due April 2010 publisher Stampington & Company and "Beadtrends" June & July 2010. Her designs are all one-of-a-kind and have a vintage flair. She is the owner of Rusty Roxx Jewelry and lives in Orange County, CA with her husband Rusty and their two children Garrett & Britton. Denise likes to correspond with other designers.
