ENTREVISTA
¿Quieres decirnos tu nombre?
Me llamo Ayelet Rottenberg.

ENTREVISTA ORIGINAL
Would you like to tell us your name?
My name is Ayelet Rottenberg.

How old are you?
I am 38 years old.

What country are you born? Where do you live now?
I was born in Israel and in the last 9 years I live with my husband and 2 kids (4+ and 8) In New Zealand.

When did you start with this hobby?
I started with this hobby 4 years ago, well 3 years ago.

How did you start?
4 years ago I got a box full with beads from my brother, and I started playing with them, then I started to buy glass beads and all other beads on the internet, I spent a lot of time looking for the right colors and shapes, When I learned I can make my own beads from Fimo, I did the first attempt more then 3 years ago, ahh, It was so ugly, did not came out well at all, I had no one here to show me how to do it, so I started searching the internet, I could not believe how much info and inspiration you can find on the internet, I took some books from the library, but most of my knowledge I got from websites blogs and forums, I used to spend hours looking at the images search.
I got hooked I started to make simple Polymer canes, and make beads from them, I love making canes and now I can make more complected ones, last May I was in Israel and I took my one and only workshop ever, a butterfly cane with Marcia from Mars design, it was great!!!
As I learned more and more I stoped using beads that I bought and now I try to use only mybeads (with metal findings), now I started to use some metal setting in my creations I like that style a lot, I feel I came a long way in this artistic journey, and today I am very happy with my creations, LOL, my husband sais I am addicted, yes he is right, I even developed my own millifiori flowers, you can get the tutorial on my etsy, they are very easy and fun to make.
There are a lot of very talented artist that are very generous and posting tutorials on blogs and so, I am thankful to them for that.
I joined forums and met artists like me who shared tips, I try to help as much as I can, you can find free tutorials on my flickr. And ask me Question on my e mail.

Is this more than your hobby? Is it your job?
For me this is still a hobby, but I still hope one day I will live from.

What other hobbies do you have?
Other hobbies? mmm don’t have time to more then that, with a job, two great kids, husband.

Would you like to tell us a little bit more about you?
